Synapse Innovation Summit 2018
LCG Advisors is sponsoring next week’s Synapse Innovation Summit and will be participating in a panel discussion on the availability of specialty bank financing for technology-related businesses.
The summit will be held on March 28-29 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa with the goal of bringing together innovators from all industries and stages of development to connect technology, regionally-based innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems throughout Florida. The highly touted event, which takes place over two days features 200 speakers, 60 showcases, 56 breakout sessions and is expecting 2,500 attendees.
LCG’s Managing Partner Brian Smith will be on the breakout panel discussion, “Accessing Capital – When and How Can Technology Businesses Obtain Bank Financing”. Joining the panel will be two of the nation’s leading technology banking executives. Frank Medrano, Executive Director of Middle Market Technology Banking at JPMorgan Chase is flying in from Dallas and Josh Roberts, Managing Director of Technology Banking at CIBC Bank is joining from Chicago. Brent Britton, Managing Partner, Tampa Office, de la Pena & Holiday will be moderating.
Driven by the substantial growth within the tech sector, the commercial banking community is adapting to meet the needs of the marketplace and in many cases forming technology finance divisions with a deep understanding of the specific needs and dynamics of tech businesses. This panel will help entrepreneurs and tech businesses to understand the various options for bank financing, when it should be considered, common deal structures, how to best access it, and how banks interact with VCs and equity investors.
