LCG Advisors and Abacode have partnered to bring a cybersecurity and technology diligence package designed specifically for the financial services sector
Tampa, Fla. – September 14th, 2017: LCG Advisors, in collaboration with Abacode Cybersecurity, has created a cybersecurity transactional due diligence package built specifically to mitigate lender and investor risk.
LCG Advisors is one of the nation’s leading third-party due diligence and transaction advisory firms, performing over 1,000 engagements annually. Their clients consist of institutional lenders and investors including large commercial banks, specialty finance companies, private equity groups, family offices, and acquisition-oriented businesses. LCG’s suite of services assist those capital providers and acquirers in assessing and mitigating risk on new transactions and also within existing portfolios.
“As a strategic partner to highly active, leading firms within the financial services and business sectors, we’ve witnessed a remarkable shift in how risk is being assessed. Cyber-risk went from being an afterthought to one of the top areas of risk and focus when getting deals done,” said Brian Smith, Managing Partner at LCG. Mr. Smith also stated, “Since we’re already focused on and embedded within the transaction space, with this new partnership we’re able to efficiently provide cyber-risk assessments without overly burdening an already complex process. In addition, we’re able to look at cyber-risk in conjunction with the traditional financial and business risks.”
Paul Epstein, Managing Partner, commented: “Our clients, which consists of many of the largest financial institutions in the world, are faced with a relatively new form of risk, along with increased regulation, all in a highly competitive environment. This partnership with Abacode allows us to quickly address a critical need within an industry that typically evolves and adapts very slowly.”
Michael Ferris, Abacode CEO, stated: “We have seen, first-hand, the enormous financial burden of what not performing the correct vulnerability assessment can have on a business. Cybersecurity assessments are much different than traditional IT audits, and this is why our partnership with LCG Advisors adds so much value to all parties involved. The entire team at LCG worked extremely hard to ensure that, together, we developed a product that was cost-effective but also met the needs of the entire industry. It is the right solution at the right time.”
