David Ruhlig

Mr. Ruhlig has over 25 years of progressive experience working in all aspects of finance and the financial services industry, from branch operations to executive leadership. He currently leads LCG’s Financial Institutions Group where he advises on billions of dollars worth of transactions annually for lenders, private equity groups and family offices. Mr. Ruhlig’s practice focuses on performing due diligence and portfolio reviews on a wide range of specialty finance and financial services companies including FinTech and traditional direct to consumer and business to business lending and servicing.
Prior to joining LCG, Mr. Ruhlig completed multiple acquisitions in the financial services industry representing hundreds of millions in revenue. He frequently performed valuations and portfolio reviews for all aspects of the financial services industry including banks, broker/dealers, factors, specialty finance companies, RIAs and insurance companies. Mr. Ruhlig advised executives through acquisition, divestiture, and restructuring and regularly provided succession guidance. He developed internal control policies and procedures and implemented reporting systems that insured regulatory compliance. He designed budgeting, financial modeling and portfolio management programs for nearly every aspect of the industry. Mr. Ruhlig has worked with financial services regulators from virtually all federal, state and self-regulatory agencies.
Mr. Ruhlig received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Finance from the University of South Florida. He has held the FINRA Series 7 General Securities License, is a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors, the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts and is a Certified Financial Services Auditor and Certified Valuation Analyst.
Mr. Ruhlig is a veteran of the Unites States Army and United States Air Force.
