LCG Advisors Appoints New Practice Head to Special Situations & Consulting Division
LCG Advisors, a leading Tampa based financial services advisory firm, has announced Scott Webb as the head of its special situations consulting practice. The group partners with private equity firms and other capital providers by utilizing big firm talent to provide cost-effective assistance to lower middle-market businesses working through challenging event-driven situations such as a critical transaction, ownership transition, implementing value creation plans and managing in a distressed environment.
The addition of Mr. Webb provides LCG with expanded professional resources to assist clients with a variety of expected challenges, including due diligence readiness/remediation, implementing fresh start accounting, interim management, project management, implementing/remediating financial reporting, and executing on key initiatives. Additionally, this deepens LCG’s ability to assist with troubled deals requiring urgent situational assessments, liquidity and turnaround management, and financial restructuring.
LCG provides third-party due diligence services to banks, finance companies, hedge funds, private equity firms, mezzanine funds, and family offices. In addition, the firm works with privately held, mostly family-owned businesses, on projects related to mergers & acquisitions and capital formation. Engaged on over 900 projects annually, LCG has a unique window into shifting outlooks and trends within the capital markets.
Webb brings to LCG more than 20 years of finance, accounting, and management experience. He has worked extensively with private equity-backed companies performing transitional support, leading key value creation initiatives, preparing for refinancing, recapitalizations, and exits. Webb also has extensive interim management experience helping distressed companies navigate through turnarounds, liquidity crises, and bankruptcy proceedings. Webb has served as CFO of five private equity-backed companies and has been deployed in numerous other senior executive positions providing interim management and remediation across functional areas including information technology, supply chain, logistics, and human resources. Prior to his consulting career, he was a Senior Auditor at Deloitte and a Senior Pricing Analyst at Eckerd Drug Corporation, a multi-billion-dollar pharmacy and general merchandise retailer since acquired by Rite Aid.
