LCG Advisors Welcomes Michael Reed, CPA as Managing Director, Business Valuations
TAMPA, FL, January 28, 2019 — LCG Advisors, a leading Tampa-based transaction advisory services firm, is proud to announce the hiring of Michael Reed as Managing Director of LCG’s Business Valuations Division. While LCG has performed valuations since 2011, the service has historically been focused on existing transactions within LCG’s investment banking and financial institutions divisions. Reed will be responsible for developing innovative business valuation offerings and building LCG’s presence within the valuation industry.
Reed, who will be based in LCG’s Tampa headquarters, has over 15 years of experience in accounting, finance, and business operations and was previously a Manager, Global Forensics with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP. While at Baker Tilly, his responsibilities included business valuations for high net worth clients, business damages and commercial valuations, and forensic analysis. Previously, he was a Revenue Agent for the Internal Revenue Service and has worked in the healthcare, technology, manufacturing, and construction industries in various accounting and operations capacities. He is a CPA, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), has credentials in Business Valuation (ABV) and Financial Forensics (CFF) and holds a B.S. in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.
LCG’s Business Valuation Division will focus primarily on transaction-related situations including pre-sale valuations, SBA valuations, and valuations in connection with mergers & acquisitions and capital formation activity. Other valuation work will be driven by FASB and ASC reporting requirements, gift and estate planning, shareholder disputes, and bankruptcy planning.
